How to convert centimetres into inches?

As we know that 1 cm = (1÷2.54) inch.

For converting the unit from centimetre to inch we will divide the given centimetre by 2.54cm.

Let's take an example to understand it-

1. How many inches in 100 cm(centimetres)?

Solve-

As we know 1 cm = (1÷2.54) inch

100 cm = 100÷2.54 inches

100 cm = 10000÷254 inches

100 cm = 39.37 inches (approx).

2. How many inches in 500 cm(centimetres).

Solve-

As we know 1 cm = (1÷2.54) inch

500 cm = 500÷2.54 inches

500 cm = 50000÷254 inches

500 cm = 196.85 inches (approx).

How to convert inches into centimetres?

As we know that 1 inch = 2.54 cm.

To converting the unit from inch to centimetre we will multiply the given inch by 2.54cm.

1. How many centimetres in 100 inches?

As we know 1 inch = 2.54 cm.

100 inches = 100×2.54 cm.

100 inches = 254.00 cm (approx).

2. How many centimetres in 500 inches?

As we know 1 inch = 2.54 cm.

500 inches = 500×2.54 cm.

500 inches = 1270.00 cm (approx).
